Atascadero's Colony Days celebrate 100 years of history
Atascadero was again transformed into a world of period costumes and booths, local royalty waving atop parade floats and other history-packed experiences during the 40th annual Colony Days.
Saturday’s downtown events, which trickle into Sunday, received a special touch this year to celebrate the city’s 100th anniversary since becoming a colony.
Sunday, the festivities continue at Atascadero Lake Park. The Atascadero Kiwanis Club is planning a dedication of the new community bandstand at noon, with live music starting at 11 a.m.
