UPDATE, 7:10 p.m.: The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office issued a description Saturday evening of the young woman found dead in the water near Campus Point at UCSB in the hope someone can say who she is.
She’s described as a college-aged Caucasian or Hispanic, about 5-foot, 6 inches tall, 107 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair that hung past her shoulders. She was wearing a purple sundress over a black tank top and black lace-up boots.
She could be from out of the area, Sheriff’s spokesperson Kelly Hoover said in a news release. A large spring break party known as Deltopia is going on in Isla Vista this weekend, she added.
