Madonna Inn now offers horseback riding for hotel guests
Guests at the Madonna Inn Resort & Spa in the mood for an adventure on the property are now able to add horseback riding to the mix of activities.
The San Luis Obispo inn started offering trail rides for every skill level Friday.
“It’s something that we’ve been thinking about for a long time, but we’ve never done it,” said Clint Pearce, president of Madonna Enterprises. “Our guests have asked us for years if they can go on a trail ride.”
With two guides and seven horses, the rides are designed to be intimate, Pearce said. For $95 a person, the guides will take riders out for about an hour, crisscrossing the property and heading up the side of San Luis Mountain.
The inn has hired JH Trail Rides, a company that provides special trail riding horses with gentle temperaments. If the trail rides are a success, the inn will offer lunch rides and sunset rides as well.
The hope is that the horseback rides will help set Madonna apart from other hotels in San Luis Obispo County, Pearce said.
