Pat Benatar, Loverboy to join Journey at California Mid-State Fair
The California Mid-State Fair is bringing together three of the biggest acts of the 1980s for one magic night.
Pat Benatar and Loverboy will open for the classic rock band Journey on July 24, fair organizers announced today.
The winner of four Grammy Awards, Benatar found fame in the early 1980s with the hit songs “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield” and “We Belong.” She’ll be joined on stage by husband and longtime collaborator Neal Giraldo, who serves as her arranger, producer and lead guitarist.
Loverboy, which has earned nine Juno Awards in its native Canada, is best known for the hard rock anthems “Turn Me Loose” and “Working for the Weekend.”
Tickets for the July 24 concert, which cost $35 to $90, will go on sale March 30.
The California Mid-State Fair runs July 18 through 29 at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles. For moreinformation, call 239-0655 or visit www.midstatefair.com.
