Nickelodeon rocks Atascadero School

Stars from the hit Nickelodeon television shows “Big Time Rush” and “iCarly” visited Atascadero’s North County Christian School today, thanks to one lucky student.

Amy Boggan, a freshman at North County Christian, beat out thousands of other students to win the Nick Rocks Your School online sweepstakes sponsored by the Nickelodeon TV network.

“It’s exciting just for the kids to have the opportunity not only to have contact with real-life stars but also an opportunity for our kids to strut their stuff,” said school administrator Louis Mann, who was doused with the network’s signature slime during an afternoon assembly. “They’re just loving it,” Mann said.

Students met “iCarly” actors Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, and “Big Time Rush” cast members and bandmates Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson, before the Nick Rocks Your School assembly.

The radio-friendly Big Time Rush previously visited the North County in July, when it performed at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles.
