Atascadero auto parts store says it was robbed at gunpoint
An Atascadero auto parts store says two men robbed it at gunpoint Saturday night, according to police.
Two robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after demanding money from the clerk at O’Reilly Auto Parts on El Camino Real just after 7 p.m., the Atascadero Police Department reported Sunday.
Officers and a police dog searched the area after the incident was reported, but didn’t find the robbers.
Police described one robber as a white man in his early 20s, 6-feet tall, weighing 140 pounds and wearing a gray hooded pullover sweatshirt, dark pants with what were called “skater” type shoes.
He was reportedly armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, according to police.
Police described the second robber as another white man in his early 20s also weighing 140 pounds, but just 5-feet-6-inches tall.
He reportedly wore a dark hooded pullover sweatshirt, a brown knit cap, blue jeans, and also wore “skater” type shoes, police said.
He reportedly had a small black handgun, police said.
