PHOTO: Cal Poly remembers Andrew Thiel

About 150 friends and family members gathered Monday night for a vigil at Cal Poly’s University Union to remember Andrew Thiel, a Cal Poly graduate killed Oct. 15 when a plane crashed in Mexico during a medical mission. Memorials were held last weekend to honor two doctors killed in the crash, Graciela Sarmiento and James Thornton. The fourth person, North Coast lawyer Roger Lyon, will be remembered at a memorial service Friday at the Hearst Ranch in San Simeon.
