San Luis Obispo man allegedly threatens to set home's front door ablaze

A San Luis Obispo man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of attempted arson, burglary and vandalism after he allegedly threatened to set a Peach Street home's front door on fire, police said.

Residents in the 1000 block of Peach Street reported at 7:20 p.m. that a man had vandalized a nearby home's front door and threatened to ignite it with flammable liquid. San Luis Obispo police found the suspect, 40-year-old Bradley Parrish, nearby soon after.

Witnesses indicated that Parrish seemed to have the ability to carry out the arson, according to police.

Parrish was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on Wednesday night.
