A crash on Highway 1 blocked traffic heading into San Luis Obispo early Wednesday afternoon.

At around 12:08 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received a report that a truck crashed into the center guardrail on the southbound side of Highway 1 in the area of Stenner Creek Road, blocking both lanes, according to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

According to a reporting party, the truck’s driver was allegedly driving recklessly at high speeds, driving on the roadside at times, before hitting the guardrail.

As of 12:12 p.m., all lanes were blocked, and medics were dispatched to the scene of the crash, but by 12:15 p.m., the No. 2 lane had been reopened, according to the CHP page.

Medics were dismissed when it was determined that the driver had not been injured at around 12:26 p.m., according to the CHP page.
