2 early morning crashes slow traffic in SLO County
Two crashes in San Luis Obispo County brought road closures and delays this morning.
At 7:26 a.m., a silver Honda Civic was reported over the side off Price Canyon Road on its roof.
The car was 80 feet away from the road, according to California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident page.
The driver of the vehicle got picked up, and emergency personnel performed a grid search to see if other passengers were in the area, and found no one else.
Eastbound traffic was stopped at Price Canyon Road at 9:45 a.m., and the lane reopened at 9:50 a.m, according to the traffic log.
Another crash was caused by a 1-ton van carrying equipment from solar energy company Sunrun on Highway 101 near the Willow Road off-ramp, according the CHP’s traffic incident log.
The van requested a tow truck at 8:20 a.m., warning CHP that there was cattle in the area.
The crash brought delays to the Highway 101 northbound, CHP announced on X.
