A child was transported to a local trauma center after falling through a skylight at a San Luis Obispo grocery store on Wednesday.

At around 3:42 p.m., San Luis Obispo police and fire services received a report that a child had fallen through the roof of the Grocery Outlet at 1314 Madonna Road.

Acting Battalion Chief Alec Flatos told The Tribune the child, who had fallen through a skylight, was transported by ambulance to a trauma center after emergency responders arrived.

Neither the San Luis Obispo Police Department nor San Luis Obispo Fire Department were able to confirm any further information on the incident or extent of the child’s injuries as of 4:30 p.m.
