Drivers to face 2 weeks of delays on this stretch of Hwy. 46. Here’s when & where
Drivers will experience traffic delays for the next two weeks on a key stretch of Highway 46, according to Caltrans.
During that time period, travelers in both directions will encounter one-way reversing traffic controls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the California Department of Transportation said in a June 12 news release.
Crews are making “emergency embankment repairs,” Caltrans said.
“Please allow extra time for your travels through the area,” the state roads agency said.
Here’s when the repairs will start, and where:
Where is Highway 46 construction?
One-way reversing traffic controls will be in place on Highway 46 in both directions east of the Cholame “Y” junction with Highway 41, north of Paso Robles, according to Caltrans.
“Concrete barriers will be placed near the centerline of the two-lane roadway in order to provide protection for workers performing emergency repairs in the westbound lanes,” Caltrans said.
When does roadwork start near Cholame Y?
Traffic controls will be in place for 24-7 starting on Tuesday, June 16.
Delays are expected to last 10 to 20 minutes, according to Caltrans.
