Early-morning fire damages home in SLO County
A fire damaged a home in Los Osos early Thursday morning, Cal Fire said.
The blaze sparked on the outside of a home on Santa Maria Avenue at about 4 a.m. and spread into the attic.
All residents had safely evacuated the house by the time firefighters arrived, and no one was injured in the fire, Cal Fire spokesperson Eva Grady said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 5:30 a.m.
The fire caused extensive damage to the roof and attic, but the building is still structurally sound, Grady said. An inspector will determine whether the home is still habitable, she said.
