Cal Fire responded to a fire that threatened multiple structures in northern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 2:18 p.m., Cal Fire first received reports of a fire in the 6000 block of Hog Canyon Road northeast of Paso Robles, according to emergency services radio app Pulsepoint.

By 2:40 p.m., the fire reached around three acres, threatening multiple structures on Hog Canyon Road, according to a post on X from Cal Fire.

Cal Fire crews achieved 50% containment of the fire at around three acres at 2:52 p.m., with additional cleanup operations to follow, according to emergency services radio.

The cause of the fire was under investigation by Cal Fire as of around 3 p.m., according to Cal Fire’s post.
