Firefighters were battling an outbuilding blaze in a rural part of San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday.

According to a San Luis Obispo County Fire Department post on X, crews responded around 10:15 a.m. to a report of an outbuilding on fire in the 22000 block of F. St. in Santa Margarita.

The Santa Margarita Fire Department was the lead agency at scene, with assistance from SLO County’s Cal Fire units, Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services and Templeton Fire Department, the post said.

Firefighters were still on scene as of 11:45 a.m. working to contain the fire.

“Please avoid the area and allow crews to operate safely,” the post said.
