Hwy. 46 roadwork to stall traffic in SLO County. How long cars will be delayed?

Construction will soon cause traffic delays on a major highway in northern San Luis Obispo County.

The California Department of Transportation plans to continue work on a new roadway alignment on Highway 46 north of Paso Robles.

Crews will be performing final striping on the highway’s centerline, according to a Thursday, Feb. 12, news release.

Here’s what to know:

When and where is Highway 46 roadwork?

Drivers going east of Cholame on Highway 46 will encounter one-way reversing traffic control from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, the release said.

Caltrans said messages and directional signs will be set up to alert drivers ahead of the daytime traffic control.
