A power outage cut electricity to more than 1,300 PG&E customers in the South County on Wednesday morning.

According to PG&E’s outage report map, the power company turned off electricity for 1,343 customers in the Nipomo area at around 7:54 a.m.

PG&E said the outage was planned to allow work crews to perform maintenance work to improve safety and reliability in the affected area.

Power is expected to be restored by 10:15 a.m.
