T-bone car crash in SLO sends 2 people to the hospital

A two-vehicle crash injured both drivers in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday afternoon.

At about noon, a Kia turned left into oncoming traffic and collided with a Jeep driving southbound on South Higuera Street near Coastal Peaks Coffee, San Luis Obispo Police Department spokesperson Christine Wallace said.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the crash and were sent to the hospital, she said.

Both vehicles were severely damaged by the crash, Wallace said.

Traffic was briefly reduced to one lane on the southbound side of South Higuera Street while officers responded to the crash.
