A suspected drunk driver was arrested after his car got stuck in “not dry” concrete in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday night.

At around 11:18 p.m. on Wednesday, San Luis Obispo Police Department officers were dispatched to a solo car crash in a construction zone at Monterey and Nipomo streets, the agency posted on Facebook.

Despite the closure signs, the driver attempted to drive through the zone and got stuck, the post said.

SLO Tow then executed a “somewhat tricky extraction” of the car through the “not dry concrete” and multiple elevations, the post said.

The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. His name was not disclosed in the post.
