5 SLO County cities nominated for America’s ‘favorite small town.’ Which ones?
Several San Luis Obispo County cities are in the running for the title of “America’s favorite small town,” according to Parade.
The nationwide competition honors places with populations under 250,000 that contain “character, charm and community spirit,” the publication announced in November on its website.
Pismo Beach was featured as a standout spot on the West Coast, along with Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, Cayucos and Paso Robles, the publication said.
“Whether through history, culture, natural beauty, or neighborly spirit, we’re spotlighting the places that make America truly special,” Parade said on its website.
The town that wins gets a “Favorite Small Town in America” badge and a sign that highlights their achievement, according to Parade.
