Get free flu shots at 8 pop-up clinics in SLO County. Here’s where and when

San Luis Obispo County is launching several pop-up clinics offering residents free flu vaccines this fall.

At eight locations across the county, you can walk in and receive a no-cost influenza shot, the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department said in a news release.

County health officials urge residents to get vaccinated against the flu to avoid getting sick during the fall and winter seaons.

“The goal is to reduce spread and severe illness — the kind that can lead to hospitalization or even loss of life,” county Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein said in the release. “This not only protects individual health but also helps keep hospital capacity available for emergencies and other medical needs, benefiting our whole community.”

Should I get vaccinated against the flu?

The influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months or older, the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department said.

Who is eligible to get free flu shots?

In San Luis Obispo County, free flu vaccine clinics are open to anyone age 3 and up.

No documents or proof of insurance are required to receive a shot, the county Public Health Department said.

  • When: 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1

Sunrise Villas Apartments

  • Where: 1600 Fontana Road, Paso Robles
  • When: 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7

Lillian Larsen Elementary School

  • Where: 1601 L St., San Miguel
  • When: 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8

Santa Rosa Academy

  • Where: 8651 to 8661 Santa Rosa Road, Atascadero
  • When: 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9

Oceano Community Center
