3.7-magnitude earthquake jolts San Luis Obispo County. Here’s where it was located

A 3.7-magnitude earthquake jolted San Luis Obispo County on Saturday night.

The quake was located four miles west of Atascadero, south of Highway 41 about a third of the way toward Morro Bay, according to the U.S. Geological Society.

In Atascadero, the quake started as a low rumble followed by a sharp snap.

The quake, which occurred at 7:50 p.m., was recorded at a depth of 6.7 kilometers and was felt from Lake Nacimiento to Arroyo Grande.
