SLO County massage therapist arrested after suspected sex crime, police say

An Arroyo Grande massage therapist was arrested following a police investigation into a sexual assault allegation.

Jeffrey Bennet Bowers, 33, was booked into jail on one charge of sexual penetration with a foreign object, according to a news release from the Arroyo Grande Police Department. His bail was set at $100,000.

Bowers was arrested at his business, SLO Massage Therapy, located at 210 Traffic Way Suite C, the release said.

According to police, Bowers has worked as a massage therapist in the South County area for at least 14 years. Detectives believed there may be more victims.
