Former Cal Poly star pitcher Bryan Woo has been selected for his first All-Star Game.

Woo, a 25-year-old right-handed pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, learned of the selection on Sunday. The game will be held in Atlanta on July 15.

Woo has an 8-4 record and a 2.77 ERA in 17 games. He has posted 104 strikeouts.

Woo was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft and is playing in his third MLB season. In 2024, Woo posted a 9-3 record with a 2.89 ERA.

Woo is the only former Mustang to be playing in the MLB All-Star Game this year.

Another former Mustang, Brooks Lee (.266, 8 home runs, 35 RBI) is having a solid season for the Minnesota Twins, helping his team to victory with a walk-off bunt single on Saturday.

Drew Thorpe, a former Cal Poly pitcher now with the Chicago White Sox organization, is on the injured list due to Tommy John surgery and will miss the entire 2025 season.

Justin Bruihl, who also played at Cal Poly, has appeared in four games for the Toronto Blue Jays this season after previously playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates.
