Cal Fire battled a vegetation fire that threatened one structure in rural Arroyo Grande on Tuesday afternoon.

As of 2:54 p.m., forward progress of the fire had stopped.

Firefighters defended a nearby structure from the flames, Cal Fire reported on the social media platform X.

The fire had burned two acres of grass and brush, with the potential to burn about 5 acres, Cal Fire said at 2:41 p.m.

The blaze burned at the intersection of Huasna Road and Everglade Road.

Power lines fell down near the fire, according to discussion on the police radio.
