Outage cuts power for more than 700 customers in San Luis Obispo

More than 700 customers were without power in San Luis Obispo Tuesday morning due to an unplanned power outage.

According to PG&E’s outage map, 749 customers had their power cut around 7:30 a.m. in the neighborhoods north of Foothill Boulevard and to the west of Highway 1.

The outage appeared to be mostly affecting the residential areas, according to the map.

PG&E had teams working to restore power and determine the cause, according to the company’s outage center.

As of 8:30 a.m., the estimated time for power to be restored was 2:30 p.m.
