Injured motorcyclist airlifted from crash on SLO County mountain

An injured motorcyclist was rescued by a helicopter off of Hi Mountain on Saturday afternoon.

According to a Facebook post by CHP’s Coastal Division Air Operations, passerby noticed the injured driver at 1:35 p.m. and dialed 911.

The CHP’s H-70 helicopter responded along with Cal Fire and an ambulance, the post said.

The injured driver was transported down the mountain by a pickup truck, where the H-70 landed safely and loaded the driver, transporting them to Adventist Health Sierra Vista.
