A three-vehicle crash slowed traffic on Highway 101 through Paso Robles on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 1 p.m., a silver Honda Pilot, a Ford XPL and a gravel truck collided near the Highway 46 west off-ramp while traveling southbound down Highway 101, according to the CHP traffic log.

At least one of the vehicles was stuck in the middle of the lane after the crash.

Before the crash, a caller reported that there was a mattress in the road in the same area, and they had to swerve to avoid it, the CHP log said.

Traffic had slowed to a crawl in the southbound lane of Highway 101 through Paso Robles as of 2:15 p.m., a Caltrans traffic camera showed.
