Airports in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and Santa Barbara have several flights to vacation destinations ranging from sunny beaches to snowy ski spots.
Here are the some of the most affordable flights you can take from the Central Coast:
Where can you fly nonstop from Central Coast airports?
San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport offers direct flights to nine locations across the United States, including Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
Nonstop flights are also available to Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.
At Santa Barbara Airport, you can choose from 23 daily nonstop flights to 12 major hubs, including Atlanta, Oakland and Salt Lake City, the airport said on its website.
Santa Maria Airport has nonstop flights to Las Vegas.
If you don’t mind catching a connecting flight, you can fly to a host of other destinations from the SLO, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria airports for cheap.

Santa Maria Airport offers flights to a single destination — Las Vegas — through Allegiant Air.
However, the airline is offering the most inexpensive flights on the Central Coast this spring.
As of Monday, March 17, you could fly nonstop to Sin City for $44 via Allegiant Air in March and April, according to Google Flights.
When does spring break start for SLO-area schools?
Spring break holidays vary across the Central Coast, depending on the school district or higher education institution.
Here’s when San Luis Obispo-area colleges and universities begin spring break:

- Cuesta College: March 25 to 29
- UC Santa Barbara: March 22 to 30
