Is this SLO County main street the best in the country? You can help decide
Paso Robles is among 20 cities nominated for “Best Main Street” in a USA Today reader’s choice poll — and you can help decide if it makes the cut for the top 10.
The North County city was nominated by an expert panel, according to USA Today. The poll is drawing attention to the “renaissance” of main streets nationwide, the website read.
The nominated cities, including Paso Robles, have main streets that “are living history, have a vibrant culture and serve as the hearts of their communities,” the publication wrote.
The poll recognized Paso Robles as a region known for its wine and hot springs. It was described as an “ideal getaway destination” or pit stop on a road trip.
“There’s enough food, history and outdoor activities to warrant staying a night, which you should consider spending at the historic Paso Robles Inn,” the description read.
Paso is also competing against Central Coast city Solvang for the best main street title.
Readers can vote for their favorite city once a day until April 7.
The 10 winners will be announced April 16.
