Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash on Highway 1 in southern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page, at around 3:53 p.m., two vehicles collided head-on at the top of the hill at Via Concha Road, blocking both lanes of the road. The crash happened near Monarch Dunes Golf Club.

According to emergency scanner traffic, two people were injured in the crash.

One patient with moderate injuries required extrication from their vehicle and was removed by around 4:05 p.m., while the other was able to pull themselves from the car with minor injuries, according to the scanner.

Multiple emergency response vehicles were dispatched to the scene of the crash.
