The lone OfficeMax location in San Luis Obispo County is closing its doors permanently.

According to a banner posted in recent days outside of the 1130 West Branch St. OfficeMax location in Arroyo Grande, the store will permanently close, kicking off a final sale worth up to 30% off.

Employees and management of the Arroyo Grande location were not able to provide further comment on the closure, including its last day of business.

Following OfficeMax and Office Depot’s merger in 2013 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the store has shuttered several locations nationwide but has not carried out any mass closures in recent years.
