Firefighters douse flames after fire engulfs SLO County RV

A recreational vehicle was destroyed in a fire in Grover Beach on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for the Five Cities Fire Authority, at around 10:30 a.m., a fire was reported on 10th Street in the area of Mentone Avenue.

Firefighters from the Five Cities Fire Authority were able to contain and extinguish the blaze before it crossed the fence on the property’s border, according to the spokesperson.

It was unclear if the RV was occupied at the time of the fire. The RV was located next to a home on private property, according to the spokesperson.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
