Firefighters responded to reports of a recreational vehicle fire in Paso Robles on Friday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page, at around 3:29 p.m., black smoke was spotted in the area of Whispering Oak Way, east of the Paso Robles Municipal Airport.

According to the CHP page, a residence at 4070 Whispering Oak Way was engulfed in flames and sending black smoke into the sky as of around 3:32 p.m.

Multiple emergency response vehicles from Cal Fire and the Paso Robles Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the blaze shortly after the smoke was reported.

In a post on X just before 4 p.m., Cal Fire clarified it was at the scene of a “fully involved RV” fire.
