Thanksgiving is a day to express gratitude and surround yourself with family, friends and, of course, a feast.

To celebrate the holiday this year, a variety of San Luis Obispo County organizations are serving up free turkey dinners to anyone who shows up, including home-delivered and to-go meals.

Here’s where to find a no-cost Thanksgiving meal near you:

Cambria Community Thanksgiving Dinner

What: Everyone is welcome at this Thanksgiving feast where 1,000 dinners will be prepared by a local restaurant. Dinners will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

ECHO Atascadero

What: A dine-in Thanksgiving meal for all attendees. Some to-go meals are available as well.

Grassroots II

What: Anyone in the community is invited to a feast in “celebration of the spirit of Thanksgiving,” organizers said. The event will have dine-in and drive-through meals, as well as delivery options for homebound residents.
