Vegetation fire threatened structure outside of SLO
A vegetation fire broke out just outside of San Luis Obispo on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 12:40 p.m. burning about half an acre in the 5000 block of Edna Ranch Circle, according to a Cal Fire post on X.
One structure was threatened at that time, Cal Fire said.
At 1:47 p.m., the fire was contained at 2.7 acres, according to a Cal Fire.
The fire burned in the grass and brush flanked on either side by roads, according emergency response app Watch Duty.
U.S. Forest Service and firefighters from Cal Fire responded to the scene along with a helicopter for air attack as of 12:54 p.m., according to the app and Cal Fire public information officer Toni Davis.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, Davis said.
