Pedestrian suffers head injury after being hit by car on Cal Poly campus

A vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian at Cal Poly on Thursday afternoon.

At about 11:46 a.m., the vehicle and pedestrian collided at the intersection of Grand Avenue and North Perimeter Road near the bus stop, Cal Poly Police Department dispatcher Jesus Maya said.

The pedestrian suffered a head injury, but they were conscious when emergency responders arrived on the scene, Maya said.

The crash was under investigation as of 12:13 p.m. The Cal Poly Police Department did not yet have any other information to share.
