It’s back, baby! SLO to Las Vegas flight is returning just in time for holidays
The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport will bring back its flight to Las Vegas just in time for the holidays.
The daily, direct flight will return to the airport on Oct. 27, according to a news release.
“Whether you’re heading to the Strip for a weekend getaway or exploring the glistening desert, we’ve got your ticket to easy travel,” a Facebook post made by the airport said. “Don’t miss out on this exciting return — book your flight today and let the fun begin.”
Alaska Airlines will offer the flight from the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport until April 25.
The flight will return during a high-volume traffic year for the airport.
Passenger traffic at the airport increased by 13.2% during 2024, the release said.
That increase was even more significant during the third quarter of the year, when the airport saw a 15.2% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023’s third quarter.
“The increase in passenger numbers and the return of direct service to Las Vegas reflect the growing demand for air travel in our region,” county director of airports Courtney Johnson said in the release. “We’re committed to addressing that demand by offering more convenient and efficient travel options for our community.”
She added: “The reintroduction of the Las Vegas route is just one example of how we’re expanding connectivity and enhancing the accessibility of key destinations.”
