Crews battle wildfire in northern SLO County. How contained is it?

The vegetation fire that burned a portion of northern San Luis Obispo County on Tuesday afternoon grew to 11 acres — but Cal Fire said forward progress has stopped.

The fire sparked on the 1800 block Rancho Lomas Way in San Miguel at around 12:38 p.m., according to emergency response app, PulsePoint.

As of 3 p.m., the fire was 100% contained, Cal Fire said in a social media post.

PulsePoint showed both Cal Fire and Paso Robles Fire Department responding to the scene.

A plume of smoke could be seen in Paso Robles on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Crews were expected to be mopping up the scene until about 4 p.m.

The blaze was the second major fire to be reported in San Luis Obispo County on Tuesday. Another fire broke out on the hills above Bishop Street in San Luis Obispo early Tuesday morning, causing a power outage and neighborhood evacuation.
