Twin vegetation fires ignited in Paso Robles on Tuesday morning, according to discussion on the police scanner.

The first fire was reported in Paso Robles at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and 24th Street at 11:15 a.m., according to the emergency response application PulsePoint.

The second fire was located north of Rite Aid, according to discussion on the police scanner.

As of about 11:20 a.m., one fire was half an acre surrounded by roads, while the other burned a 10-by-10-foot plot, The Tribune overheard on the police scanner.

A camera from UC San Diego’s ALERT California network showed the two fires burning in close proximity to each other.

Firefighters stopped forward progress of both fires by 11:26 a.m., according to discussion on the police scanner.
