2 injured as car crashes into stairwell at SLO County medical building

A car drove off the road in Pismo Beach on Friday afternoon, landing nose down in the stairwell of the Five Cities Medical Imaging center.

The crash was reported to Cal Fire at 12:45 p.m. Two passengers sustained minor injuries and were transferred to a nearby hospital, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Toni Davis.

The vehicle drove over the curb and a walkway, plummeting down a set of stairs and crashing into the railing and an electric box. No damage was caused to the medical center building, Davis said.

Johnboy’s Towing pulled the vehicle out.
