A man was killed in a crash in Grover Beach on Wednesday evening, police confirmed.

Grover Beach Police Department Cmdr. Bryan Millard said a male driver died following a two-vehicle crash on Oak Park Boulevard near El Camino Real at about 4:58 p.m.

Millard told The Tribune it was unclear what caused the crash as of Wednesday evening.

Police were not releasing the name of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

The other party in the other vehicle was not injured, Millard added.

Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach police departments both assisted in responding to the incident, as well as the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, according to Millard.

As of 7 p.m., a 300-foot stretch of Oak Park Boulevard was closed as police conducted an investigation into the crash, he said. Police were expected to remain on scene for approximately another hour.
