Suspected drunk driver slams into SLO house and 2 parked vehicles. See the photos
A driver crashed his car into a San Luis Obispo home early Thursday morning, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
At about 1 a.m., the driver traveled eastbound on Foothill Boulevard “at a high rate of speed and failed to navigate the curve of the road,” police wrote in a post on X.
The vehicle skidded off of the road, then “bounced off the house” at 130 Foothill Boulevard and crashed into two parked cars in the driveway, the post said.
The San Luis Obispo Fire Department removed the driver and passenger from the car, then sent the driver to the hospital with moderate injuries. No one in the home was injured.
Photos show damage to the bottom of the house.
Police think the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.
Police did not arrest the driver so he could go to the hospital, but they will request that the District Attorney’s Office charge him with driving under the influence of alcohol.
