Plan ahead, drivers: Construction backs up traffic on Highway 101 in SLO County

Traffic was backed-up going northbound on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach as workers repair the guardrail on Tuesday morning, according to Caltrans.

Caltrans QuickMap shows slowdowns beginning on the stretch of northbound highway just after Pismo Heights through the Avila Beach Drive exit.

According to the agency, a lane was closed to repair the guardrail near the Spyglass exit in Shell Beach.

The repair was expected to conclude at 1:30 p.m., according to the agency.

Meanwhile, some light traffic was also reported along Highway 1 through Pismo Beach due to alternating lane closures.
