Firefighters extinguish overnight blaze near SLO student apartments
Residents in the area of Santa Rosa street in northern San Luis Obispo woke up to ash blanketing their vehicles Wednesday morning.
According to a post on X by the San Luis Obispo Police Department, a wildfire was reported north of the Mustang Village II apartment complex just before 2 a.m. The department said vegetation was engulfed in flames.
The San Luis Obispo Fire Department responded to the call, quickly extinguishing the blaze, according to the post. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
