A San Luis Obispo man was sentenced to more than 80 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges he sexually abused two children over a period of two years, the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release Monday.

Juan Adriel Cambray Miranda, 42, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault involving two separate children, including aggravated rape of a child under the age of 14, sexual penetration of a child under the age of 14 and two counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14, according to the release.

The crimes occurred between April 2016 and May 2018.

The man also pleaded guilty to an unrelated residential burglary that occurred in San Luis Obispo on May 31, 2021.

“For years this predator leveraged a position of trust to manipulate and sexually assault these young survivors,” San Luis Obispo County Deputy District Attorney Kimberly Dittrich said in the release. “I am in awe of the strength and courage shown by the two young victims in reporting these crimes which was necessary to hold this defendant accountable.”

Cambray Miranda was sentenced to 80 years for the rape charges and an additional four years for the burglary.
