Paso Robles elementary school shelters in place after staff report hearing gunshots
A Paso Robles elementary school sheltered in place Tuesday morning after school staff heard what they thought to be gunshots nearby, Paso Robles Police Department said in a news release.
Georgia Brown Elementary School staff reported possible gunshots heard in the neighborhood surrounding the school Tuesday morning, according to the release.
“They did an excellent job of immediately issuing a shelter-in-place and contacting law enforcement,” police said.
Police said officers responded and searched the area. The officers cleared the area and the shelter-in-place was subsequently lifted afer no threat was found.
“No threats have been made towards the school or students,” police said.
