More than 1,300 without electricity in SLO County power outage

Two power outages struck Pismo Beach on Thursday morning, leaving more than 1,300 PG&E customers without electricity, according to a PG&E outage map.

The first power outage started at about 7:05 a.m. and impacted a total of 1,233 customers, according to PG&E.

Electricity should be restored by 11:15 a.m., the utility company said.

PG&E was still investigating the cause of the first power outage as of Thursday morning.

Another nearby power outage started at 8:11 a.m. and impacted 108 customers.

The outage was caused by scheduled maintenance, and power should be restored by 4 p.m., according to the utility company.
