Outage in northern SLO County knocks out power to more than 600 customers

A power outage in northern San Luis Obispo County left more than 600 Atascadero PG&E customers without electricity Wednesday afternoon.

According to PG&E’s Outage Center, 621 customers west of Highway 101 and along Highway 41 were affected by the outage, which started around 4:24 p.m.

The cause is unknown at this time, and PG&E has assigned a crew to assess the outage and investigate its cause, according to the Outage Center.

Power is expected to be restored by 10:45 p.m.
