Forward progress stopped on grass fire in eastern SLO County
Forward progress has stopped on a grass fire that broke out in the hills east of Santa Margarita late Tuesday morning.
The fire grew to an estimated five acres and threatened one barn, according to emergency radio communications on Pulsepoint.
Wildland fire engines, water tender and a work crew will continue to tend to the rural fire, firefighters said on Pulsepoint.
The fire was first reported around 11 a.m. on Las Pilitas Road near Parkhill Road in eastern San Luis Obispo County, according to Pulsepoint.
